'Shlurple the purple'

Quick card and quick post. I'm just in time for the Sunday Stampers challenge over on Hels Sheridan's blog. This week it's purple tones. I was originally going to use lilac tones on my assemblage clock and submit it for both challenges... but then the purple didn't happen, so as a late offering it's a sunset instead.

Apologies for the poor photo, you can tell the nights are drawing in as I've had to take the photo in artificial light....and I never like the result.
I've used pan pastels to build up the colour for the background and then the Crafty Individuals 'Build a Meadow' stamp set with versamark and pan pastels...........and that's it.
I might just add another photo taken in daylight tomorrow! Thanks so much for stopping by.

Updated photo......happy crafting!

  9. WOW Ruth... I love this and love the effects of the lighting too... ( I generally always am using the artificial lighting with my pictures too... but I think we all know that anyway... so I just hope others have the same situation... LOL and you do!!! ) I love the way you have blended these two colors and the flowers and buds... but the little bugs hoping over them is great ... thanks Ruth for ALL your lovely comments over at my blog... I cherish your words of kindness and love... Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie

  12. Hi Ruth, this is a lovely card, the sun setting has such fire to it which is probably in-part created by the artificial light but it looks gorgeous.
    Happy crafting, Angela x
