Hi everyone, apologies for absence...I'm back and I'm fine. It's time for our first challenge of 2016 over at Stamps and Stencils. The lovely Cec is our host and here's what she has to say about 'Oh So Blue'.
This time of year it is easy to start feeling blue, now that the festivities surrounding Christmas are over and winter is making its presence known with less sun and more miserable weather so instead of giving in to it let's celebrate blue. Create a primarily blue mixed media project that includes some stamping and/or stenciling. You may add one other colour to your creation but it must be mostly blue.
I've created a little canvas in wintry blues but with some shimmer to brighten the dull days.
No step by steps I'm afraid but I created the background using scraps from my desk and even half a zip.
To finish some tiny, tiny buttons from my stash. Please hop across and see the rest of the talented teams entries to hopefully inspire you to join in and as always thanks so much for stopping by.
Hugs and a very Happy New Year to you all. Ruth x

I sprinkled some white shabby embossing enamel over some transparent gel that had been spread through a stencil. Once heated Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays added the shimmer.
One of the Ellen Vargo flower heads from PaperArtsy, double stamped onto brayered tissue paper and layered up.
Further stamping in cobalt blue for the word and background.
Hugs and a very Happy New Year to you all. Ruth x
